Still no little dude yet!
We had the 38 week appointment on Monday and I'm still about 1cm dilated and 70% effaced. I've been having more Braxton Hicks contractions though, so my body is practicing.
Hopefully we'll go into spontaneous labor within the next two weeks! I'm starting to get the feeling though that he is going to make us wait and come when he wants. ;)
I've been staying super busy around here- cleaning, laundry, babysitting for my sweet friend, seeing many sweet friends- trying to enjoy the last few weeks with bubs safe in my tummy. It's like free childcare for the next two weeks!
Anyhoodle, not much to blog about. I've been swimming as often as I can find someone to go swimming with, and it's magical. It really does wonders for relieving the pressure from my lower back and helps with any swelling in my feet/hands.Thankfully, since I drink like- no joke- 3/4 32oz Nalgene bottles of water a day, I've been able to keep off any major swelling, but I still feel puffy. It happens!
No pictures today- bad blogger!
Toodles until next time!

Disclaimer: The sushi was the most delicious sushi I have ever eaten. It was filled with salmon/tuna/crab, arugula, cucumber, and carrots wrapped in rice paper. 100% awesomeness.

Summer Lovin'
Over Memorial Day Weekend, we traveled down to NLR to spend time with the family. This time every year, we have a crawfish boil and this year was no exception. Despite the rain and high winds, we were able to commence as usual just fine! My dad was able to make it again this year. Good times were had by all ( I hope).

Halfway through the afternoon though, the rain came and our guys came up with a pretty unique solution to be able to stay outside and eat their crawfish without getting wet. Leave it to the Cavalier men... Since our return home, the rain has FINALLY stopped (knock on wood) and we have been able to work in out yard. I'll show a before picture of the pond and an after. I was so thankful I was able to clean it up in one afternoon- because last year it took a whole weekend. Although, I am betting that last year was the first time it had been cleaned in about two years. Go me! I am super sore today, but it felt good to get down and dirty and get the yard back in tip top shape. To celebrate our hardwork, we grilled out today and I layed out in the pool. Next item on the agenda is to buy a few hanging planters and make a pretty display of annuals. I don't really think I want to plant a garden here because we hope to buy within the year and it sure would be a hassle to transplant in a year or less.
Anyhoodle, not much else has happened. Work/class/work/class.. more work.. more class. My car has started the steady decline downhill and I am afraid that it might die soon. Nevertheless, I still cleaned it thoroughly today and drove it through the Kangaroo Wash! I LOVE that place... such a good car wash. :) Even though the engine is actin' a fool, atleast my car looks fabulous!
