Excitement!

Happiness is not even the word that describes how I feel right now! Let me explain...

Last year, our external hard drive (which I had stored all of our wedding/honeymoon/vacation photos on, went *kaput* for no good reason. I was mortified! Well.. recently I remembered that I had saved them all on snapfish.com to make our photo books; however, to get the photos in full-definition, I would have had to buy the photos on a disk ($40/disk), so I just lived with the fact that they weren't gone forever, and if I needed them again, I could pay to see them!

Well... today I started my "Spring Cleaning" marathon- which began with the computer! Space was becoming  limited and I couldn't quite figure out why (300Gig hard drive and I had 2 gig left). I called dad... and the heavens sang apparently because we figured out that each time we had to reload Windows on my pc (because it's a piece), it saved a digital snapshot of the computer (60gigs per shot) and saved it. MY PICTURES WERE THERE!

So two great things came out of my pc adventures today.. 1) I cleaned up 150 gigs of hard drive space and 2) my pictures are safe and sound!

Can you believe we've almost been married two years?!
Jamaica- Aug. 2008

I had some other exciting things to blog about today (like missing my trip to Mississippi because my immune system decided to stop working) and then feeling better and going to see Chase play with Full House and seeing some terrific people..
and a random snow storm on the first day of Spring.. but really, finding my photos was pretty much the icing on the cake!
However, I know it's pictures you seek. Here are some photos of the pretty snow! Hopefully it will be the last until next winter!

"Mom.. let me in!"

Chase's Snowman

She's so waiting for him to throw a snowball.

Our snowball fight was kind of epic..and B was right in the middle jumping up to catch the snowballs!

More snow?

Praxis.. Schmaxis: Part Deux.

HOPEFULLY, these are the last two Praxis II tests I will ever have to take! *wipes brow*

I feel very confident about the concepts and processes because it's all about teaching my craft, and I can do that.
The PLT is a little trickier for me- although after a good study session last night, I feel a lot more confident and just pray that I find the wisdom and words to write what I know I already know! You know?

Send some love my way if you are up before 6:00am on this very chilly Saturday.

G'day all!

Fabulously Exhausing Day:

Today was fabulous... and exhausting. The title definitely says it all.

2nd grade's programs is going to be great- after lots of hard work on the student's part and our part! Have I mentioned that I love teaching? Just checking...

I had my first official interview today and it was FUN! No matter what the outcome, I am just so blessed to have been able to go through this process. It has been so pleasant and joyful for me. I have great friends... and I think this was God's way of showing me how many amazing people he has placed in my life.

Feeling like a grown up is fun!

Directly (and I mean like.... directly) after my interview, we left to see the Jazz at Lincoln Center and Wynton Marsalis perform at the WAC. (drools) It was basically fantastic- although the bass player definitely was a fav of mine for the night.

They played a composition written by one of the members of the orchestra. It was basically a salute/ode to different artists from the MOMA. I really enjoyed "Pollock" and "Picasso." I'm pretty sure you all know Picasso... but Jackson Pollock is a little less widely known. I didn't even know who he was until my sophomore year of college. Boy had I been missing out. I learned a lot my sophomore year of college.. oye.

Anyhoodle. It is far far passed my bedtime, and tomorrow will be full of fun school stuff, and then Praxis studying with Pam and Jayme. So for now- toodles!

Although my list isn't quite as crazy as Audra's crazy week this week! She has basically been in perpetual motion since Monday because she leave for Korea on Monday! So excited for her, but will also miss her tons this summer. We had such good times last summer riding the bike trail, and lounging in the sunshine. Saranghaeyo, Audra!

L is for Love...

and I LOVE days like today.

I would love today more if my camera card reader would work on my computer. I am going to have to upload my pictures to the laptop, and then e-mail them to myself on the desktop. Technology and I have a love/hate relationship.
These are from yesterday. Today was even warmer!

Hubs and I just got back from another mega bike ride. We rode from our house all the way to Hunt Park.

The entire route, round trip, was only about 5 miles, but there was a stellar strong head wind and hills! The wind and I also have a love/hate relationship. I love the breeze, but combined with a hill and a bike, not so much.

Dad and I finally got another good photo together. I really like this one. :)

..and this one.

This weather is just ridiculous- and I mean ridiculous in the BEST way! It's sunny with a beautiful breeze and the birds are chirping... I think I feel (/knocks on wood) spring in the air!

We just finished a six or seven mile bike ride and I feel fab. We drove by Central J.H. and a local elementary school. It kind of reminded me of being ten again when I would ride my bike all around my neighborhood.

Have I told you that I love where we live? There is such a wonderful community here and it just feels like home. I'm glad we decided to buy a home in Springdale. :)

I know what you really want to see though..pictures! So first I'll share with you a delicious recipe from the fantastic E-Mealz service.

This was a tasty lemon pepper tilapi dish. Simple and easy!

Chicken Broccoli Fettuccine! Whole wheat pasta noodles, FF mushroom soup and parmesan made for a deliciously low point meal.

My favorite new Yankee Candle scent: Pineapple Cilantro. I'm pretty sure the 'cilantro' just refers to the color, because it definitely doesn't smell like cilantro.

Last night we had Eve, Steph, Chris, and Stephanie over for a Wii party. Chris and Stephanie brought their pup Prince (see sleeping dog below). He and Bailey had a stellar time chasing each other around the house and backyard. We've determined the B needs more doggy friends. :)

We loves each other.

Last week was a loooong week.

Sleeping dog = sign that good times were had!

That's all folks!! Hubs, Dad and I went to the Promenade today and walked all afternoon. I really wanted a good photo with dad, since it has been since the wedding since we have had one (almost two years!). I'll share the results with ya tomorrow.

Night all!

Pray!

There's a lot going on right now in the Cavalier household!

All I can ask is that you please pray for us right now! (nothing bad- pinky promise!)

You're the best.

/goes back to working diligently...

Here's a picture of super-cute pup chillaxing in the beautiful sunshine today!
