Ahoy!

Things in the Cavalier house have yet to slow down yet, but we are making progress on the baby front! His room is almost complete for the moment. The only two major things we need to do are hang curtains and a large name frame... and I THINK it will be complete.

Who knows though- I am never satisfied with any project and end up changing things about a bajillion times before I'm somewhat content.

Some news that I failed to share with you all formally is that I am officially the music teacher at Walker Elementary School! This school has been such a huge blessing to us and I am in awe at how God's masterful plan puts people exactly where they need to be at the perfect time.

Although this summer is going to be a little crazy with little dude on the way, and trying to set up the classroom for next year and hopefully, maybe, possibly start back to school on time... I am looking forward to learning and growing next year more than ever. My biggest dilemma is how and if I can start back to school 6 weeks postpartum. I know that 6 weeks is a LONG time; however, that is only a blink in the life of our little baby and he will only be little once. The biggest stitch is that I don't want to miss out on any of the school activities, or learning experiences with my kiddos at school! Those first few weeks are so much fun and provide such a great time to capture the kiddos' attention for the year.
Any opinions from other teaching mommas out there?

Please say a prayer as we try to follow His plan.

In other news, I've been having some pretty consistent contractions since last night- just none that have been 5 minutes apart for more than an hour. I think we're getting close!!

Now.. Photo Time!! (sorry, for the time being, blogger is being silly and keeps rotating my photos the wrong way.... sigh)

Crib!

Changing table

Cute little name frame

Ta-da!

Still lacking curatins, and need to put up a few more things, but for the most part, this is it.
Suggestions? Comments?

Toodles for now, y'all!

It looks like the room is almost ready! And it sounds like you are ready! We are so excited to have you on staff with us. I wish I had advice in the maternity leave area...that is not my specialty. I always struggled with how much time to take and probably took too little time to be at home with my little ones. You might just play it by ear and see how it goes though it is never easy when the time comes to return to work (no matter how much you miss it). Thinking about you!

my suggestion is don't be in too much of a hurry to get back to school, your little man will only be a baby once, and the kids at school WILL actually be okay at the beginning of the year without you there if the occasion arises!! Enjoy time with the new baby, take as much as you can. I predict once you and he actually look at each other, you are not going to be in too much of a tearing hurry to get back there any way <3 YOu look so beautiful!!

I am guessing no baby yet? Of course I have not checked my school email, so I may be wrong! I can't wait to meet your sweet little guy! He will LOVE his room! :)
